As Director of Preconstruction Services of J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., Bill offers over thirty years of construction industry experience. He is responsible for the overall coordination and managing the resources during the design/pre-construction phase for design, estimating, scheduling, value engineering and material procurement for projects. Bill also has the primary responsibility for ensuring that resources during design and/or preconstruction remain on schedule, within budget and reflect the quality to satisfy and exceed the needs and expectations of the client. Specifically, he oversees the prequalification process of the subcontractor selection, preliminary scheduling, cost estimating, value engineering and procurement of long lead items.

Bill received his education from Florida State University. His professional experience has endowed him with a particular acumen for accurate conceptual and detail estimates, scheduling and managing skills through all phases of the planning, design development and construction processes. His impressive portfolio of clients amply demonstrate an unmatched background of projects encompassing educational, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare and mission critical/advanced technology facilities. Bill's talent has allowed him opportunities to manage projects across a variety of market sectors including Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Bank of America, New England Sports Network (NESN), Viega, Philips Medical Systems, Instron, iRobot, Aviva, American Science & Engineering, G.T.E. Data Centers, and Wyeth Research.
