The Park School Retains J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., for Pre-Construction Services for School Addition and Renovations

12/15/2006, Brookline, MA -- The Park School retains J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., of Quincy, to serve as pre-construction manager for a classroom addition and renovations totaling 24,500 square feet. The project includes a 17,000-square-foot classroom addition to the existing main building and 7,500 square-feet of renovations to the school’s existing classrooms and library. J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., will oversee the site-work component of the project, which includes revisions to the school’s roadway, expansion of the surface parking area and utility upgrades. Cambridge-based Chan Krieger Sieniewicz is the architect and Boston-based RDK is the engineer. The Park School, located at 171 Goddard Ave., in Brookline, MA is an independent, coeducational school, serving students from pre-kindergarten through ninth grade.

This is the second project that J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., was selected to manage for the Park School. In April 2005, the firm renovated and expanded the school’s dining center into a full-service dining facility. The project also included converting and upgrading a dumbwaiter into a limited access elevator and installing an Air Handling Unit on the roof of the building. “We’re happy to once again have J.
