J. Calnan & Associates & Sasaki Completes Construction of the Color Kinetics Showroom in Downtown Manhattan
Serving as Construction Manager, J. Calnan & Associates Completes Project on Schedule and at Budget

J. Calnan & Associates, Inc. JC&A), headquartered in Quincy, Mass. with an office in New York City, is one of New England’s leading construction management firms specializing in world-class pre-construction services and challenging construction projects, announced today that it has completed construction of a new Color Kinetics showroom located at 267 Fifth Avenue in New York City in collaboration with the Boston, MA-based owner, architect Sasaki, and engineer RG Vanderwiel.
The 5,000-square-foot project had an aggressive 8-week schedule with a hard end date for public viewing. The showroom is the first Color Kinetic’s showroom entirely lit by more than 500 Color Kinetics’ lights. Three separate vignette-style kiosks that feature Color Kinetics lights are displayed; a retail vignette, a display vignette and a theatrical vignette in which they all feature different types of Color Kinetics light products.
J. Calnan & Associates, Inc. was transferred this project from a previous general contractor. JC&A worked to lift the stop-work order put on by the New York City inspectional services and in two-weeks was able put this project back on track.
